Cadbury's is still humorous

From my previous post ‘Egg ‘n’ Spoon’, an analysis of Cadbury’s advert, explains how Cadbury has always had a focus and theme of music.

This theory has been emphasised through their newest advert with James Corden releasing an instant moment of joy.

James Corden performs an amazing lip-sync, through the streets of London, to Estelle’s song ‘Free’. A noticeable feature is how Cadbury has included a splash of purple colour in the background of every frame to continuously relate the advert back to Cadbury’s. This is shown by objects and pieces of clothing being purple, such as, headphones, tie, hat, gloves, sign, building, umbrella and even a telephone box.

Including the actor Corden was a positive collaboration for Cadbury’s, as he is so well known for his comical acting. He creates a humorous approach towards the advert.

Having a celebrity endorsement is a helpful attribute for a company to help promote their product to a large audience. As Cadbury’s have been around for so long it doesn’t desperately need a celebrity endorsement. However having one does increase people’s awareness of the products being sold.

As Cadbury’s adverts have been made in a humorous and comical approach, they are able to aim towards a large market group. Audiences ranging from young children, to adults.

‘a GLASS and a HALF FULL of JOY’
